| Description: | Since a couple of years sanitation supply is getting more and more important in both fields, emergency relief and development cooperation. A further increase can be observed since the „Sustainable Development Goals“ were approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations in September 2015. Actors of NGOs and their local partners are very often not sufficiently qualified to ensure sustainability of the implemented projects.
The basic and advanced courses were developed in close cooperation with the “German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste” (DWA), based on the recommendation of the “SPHERE Project" and “The Sustainable Alliance – SuSanA". The modules are linked to each other to provide a complete package. The modules are divided in theoretical knowledge and practical exercises for wastewater treatment plants for up to 50 population equivalents. |
